The Residence
The Residence sits among pines in Yunnan, and the first thing it asks of a visitor is to slow down. A bronze gate opens onto a drive that bends through the trees, and the buildings appear a piece at a time.

Lake Trohe
A low timber house rests on the slope above a mountain stream, its roof stretching out to meet the trees. In autumn mist the valley turns gold and grey, and the glass picks up the light from inside.

Garda
A timber roof floats over stone and glass, facing the lake. In winter the house turns quiet: snow on the rocks, still water at the terrace edge, low sun through the trees.

Pahia Beach
Pahia Beach is read best after dark. A long glazed pavilion floats above a dune garden, lit from within so that it becomes a lantern for the shore.

A concrete roof plane extends over the pool like a held breath. LA House is organised around that shadow: the coolest place on the site, and the one everything faces.
